Sa the Dragon Boy

Mr. Aigar my teacher from school. how could that be....thats right he was a new teacher at our school....but i never thought...wow he's a dragon. I look at my teacher baffeled and he chuckles. "I knew you wouldn't understand. Why would you thing some teacher just seems to show up at your school just as you do and how would a seemingly stranger dragon know about you being out of school?" I think for a second and go to respond ut he cuts me off. "And why would you think you never felt in danger when in a strange cave after blacking out?" I nod my head slowly. "I did notice something familliar about you." He nods at me. "Im sure you senced what i really was by pure instinct but you couldnt tell with you consussion and your extreme blood loss. Luckly i was a dragon or you would have blead out on the forest floor I'm glad i was able to save you." I stand there speechless. He laughs. "I never thought i would meet the fabled half dragon but i found you and decided to see if i could help you in any way i could." I look at him scared. "By stalking me?!?" He laughs harder. "no no I didnt mean it in that way. I wanted to make sure you didnt get into any trouble and making sure you didnt decide to do anything to reveal who you really are." 

"but you called me and told me school was out."

"School wasnt out and i called only you because those men you saw at the mall were at the school asking for you claming that they were the cops and you had done something bad."

"but they knew i was at the mall"

"And so did I why do you think he had a broken radio and was unable to call backup. But i was unable to stop that man who looked like the boss from chaseing you into the forest. I lost your scent because something about him stopped me from smelling you or him."

I now understand why things seemed to sometimes go in my favor and i was able to get away. "Mr. Aigar why would you want to help me anyway." he smiles at me "first off you dont need to call me Mr. Aigar thats's just my name i use for hiding my identy my real name is Aigarith and i am going to train you." I give him a confused look, "Train me in what?" He smiles, "battle my boy i will train you to fight like a proper dragon and i will also teach you to transform into a true dragon with your hidden power deep within you." I smile a little at the fact that i am going to be trained to fight but i mainly smiled because i now know i am not the last dragon. "I see your excited young dragon i cant wait to see what you can do in a battle but first you must get your rest you look tired." I nod my head as the reality of my sleepiness hits me. "Ya I guess i am a little tired from running." He then transforms back into his dragon form and curls around in the center of the cave and lays his head down and i walk over to my bed roll and i lay down too careful not to jolt my wing too much. "Good night young dragon" I smile "good night Aigarith" Calling him that didnt seem right and i didnt want to call him Mr. Aigar i wanted to call him something else something that i had found but sadly lost again.....i wanted to call him Dad. 

Why does my head hurt?.............. Why is it so dark?............ I'm so cold........... Where am i? I open my eyes and i see nothing but fuzz i sit up and look around. I could barely see anything. I gingerly put my hand up and rubbed the back of my head where there was a giant lump...and something else....it didnt feel like my hair...no...it was something more paper like....a bandage?...ya that must be it, but who would put it on me, without me noticing. I hold my arm realizing the emense pain running through my back. I put my hand back down and feel a blanket beneath me and under that is a cold stone floor. Speaking of cold. I shiver. Its cold really cold. i thought i was in the forest it cant be this cold in the middle of spring. then i see a faint light like a big arch now to far away. I wince as i stand up and i hobble over to the light. I am once again blinded by the light as i look out of the arch. My eyes clear a little more as i look outside of what looks to be a cave. I see a blanket of snow that seems to go on forever then i realise that it stops a little out and that the rest are just clouds. I turn back into the cave and i start to actually see what is in it. I notice a wooden table with a some wood cabinents mounted on the wall loosely beside it. There are a few old chiars around the table and it looks like one is missing. i look to the other, what would be considered the corner of the cave if it was rectangular, and i notice the blanket i was laying on and a chair beside it. I see a few outlets along the wall where it looks it might lead to more caves. My stomach grumbles and i walk over to the cabinents just to see if there was any food. There wasnt much in the cabinent except what looks like some medicle supplies and a first aid kit that looks fairly new. I put my hand back on my head and pull the bandges off realizing that my fast healing has already taken some of the swelling down. I then look back at my wing and go to take the old splint off when i realize it has been put into a fresh splint and i take my hand away. I explor the fairly plain cave some more looking for any signs of who might live here. I didnt notice anything until i saw a lump under the bottom of the blanket. I lift up the blanket and notice a dragon scale.....one from an actual dragon...but what dragon would have human items in their home. Then i hear something...it sounds like the flapping of wings...large ones.....but no bird has that big of wings...except....a dragon! I run to the cave entrence and squint into the sun seeing a shadowy figure aginst the sun and i watch as the big dragon lands holding a deer in his mouth. I smile gaping at his size and he seems to smile at me as he puts the deer down. "Hello Sa its good to see you. Are you enjoying your time out of school?" I stand there astounded and bafeled but unable to make out the some how famillar voice. I then realize that im standing in front of a dragon....but i thought i was the last one...

"Y-Your a dragon" I stutter out. And the dragon seems to scoff at me. "And so are you." I look at the dragon still amazed "But i thought i was the last one" He again chuckles, a low deep throated rumble.  "Come into my cave and i will explain" he then picks up the deer and walks past me and i follow after him smiling. 

We then get into the cave and i sit in one of the chairs and he pulls off a leg and puts it on the table for me. He then lays down onto the cave floor and tears into his part of the deer. My stomach grumbles again and i tear intothe bloody meat savoring every bit of the meat. After we finishing eating i sit back in the chair smiling happily as i now have a full belly and a clear mind. The dragon then turns his head towards me and smiles. "First Sa i want you to know who i really am." I look confused at the dragon as he stands. He then begins to transform and shrink down into a more human form and there in the dragon's place is my teacher.......Mr. Aigar.

I woke up with a sharp pain in my left wing and i look back and cringe as i see a bone sticking out and i quickly look away. i remind my self on some survival techniques my father tought me when i was little on how to splint a broken bone but i was never tought how to splint one this bad. I slowly look around the cave for answers and notice that i am in nothing more than a small animal hole that has sence been abandoned by what ever animal lived here. I keep looking around and notice a lizard and i smile. "hey there little buddy" I reach down and pick him up and remember that he was the same one from the night before......the night before. All of last night's events came rushing back to me all at once and all of my sences went on high alert. Those men they are still after me i have to run. I start to panic realizing im stuck in a small hole and i bang my head. "OW!" I rub the back of my head with one hand as i hold the little lizard in another and i take a deep breath. ok, i remind myself, i got away from them and im safe now i need to calm down. The lizard looks at me with a blank stare. "what i can't help it when my instincts kick in i can barely stop them" he just stares and flicks his toung as he crawls up my arm and onto my head. "oh so i see you would rather sit up there ok then" I look around my little cave once more before i squeeze through the hole and step into the daylight. I raise my hand up to cover my eyes as i am momentarily blinded by the light. My eyes finally adjust to the light and i squint at the river which is moving slowly. "i guess i should take a bath after i splint my wing what do you think?" The lizard makes a croaking sound. "ya i guess your right." I then walk into the small brush behind the small cove and find myself two boards that are straight. Then i rip off my shirt and tear it into strips for the ties. I then carefully climb into the water and dip my wing in wincing as the cold water ruches over my wing, blood streaming down the river. I then stuff whats left of my t-shirt into my mouth and bite down hard as i pull on my wing and push the bone back in leaving a gaping hole in my leathery scales. I scream quietly through my t-shirt as i wrap the shreds around the wound closing it before i place the wood on it and tie it down. Then i pull the t-shirt out of my mouth breathing heavy. "Well that hurt....a lot" I then walk out of the water and collapse on the bank of the river on my stomach and lay there as my wing throbs. I then see the little lizard jump off of my head and i see him look at me. "what is it?" I ask him polightly but he just responds with a small croak and he walks away. I watch him leave, "so i guess your going for a hunt then bring me back some good bugs." I sigh "im just going to lay here and die" I say sarcastically. 

It seemed as though i had just fallen asleep what i hear a rusteling. My eyes fly open and i jump up.....and then my knees buckle as a pain shoots through my back and wing, but i manage to stay standing. I look back at my splint and touch it gingerly forgetting about the noise until i hear it again. I crouch down and rush up the nearest tree and i hide in the tree top. I watch as one man walks under me with an angry expression on his face. Another man then walks out behind the first looking a little worried. Then the first man turns to the second, "How could you let him get away!" He was really angry at the other man. "I-It wasnt my fault boss. He killed some of our best men and got away." The other man looks down and rubs his forehead. "You idiot if they died then they are not our best men! They were just idiots who didnt do their job and got themselves killed while you stood back and called for back up on a broken radio!" I then start to think, So these are this guy is the boss and this other guy must be his right hand man. The boss then turns back to the other man. "Well did you see where he went at least." The boss then rests his hand on top of the sword at his waste which i never noticed before. "W-Well i saw him run into these woods." the boss then grumbles, "Then why aren't you looking for him go after him!" "y-yes sir." He then turns his back to my tree as i notice a rifle on his back ans a sword slung at his side too and he runs off at a quick pace. The boss then rests aginst the tree and i tence my muscels. He lights a cigar and laughs, "I know your up there and you want to attack me." My heart leaps into my mouth as i hear his voice directed at me and i lower my raised claw. "You know if you attack me my men will be on you in a flash and there is no way you will be able to get away with your broken wing." I growl out of instinct. "How did you know i was up here?!?" He laughs, making me tence up again. "I know a lot of things about you including what happened to you in your past. It's a shame what happened to your mother, and your father, didnt he leave you to die?" I growl louder. "My father didnt leave me he was trying to pretect me!!!!" He laugh me again making me want to rip out his throat, "You think you know your father? Ha! He was a murder, killer, and he left you to die alone." I roar and jump on him ready to rip his throat out but i stop and look at him. "No. no! it cant be!" My mind flashes back to when my father left me and what happened. I see him looking at me and then my mother's tail lashing out and hitting him across the face splitting him across his eye and i look at the man seeing the same scar across his eye. I look at the man a new fury towards him. I didnt want to kill him anymore I wanted to run, run away and hope i never see that face again...the face that belongs to my father.

BONUS CHAPTER!!!

I sit on top of my father with an astonished and saddened face. "H-How can you be alive? Its been years sence i saw you, and you would be dead right now" I pause and growl, "you should be dead!" He looks at me with a sincear look. "Yes i am alive and im here. i can explain everything i just need you to come back with me." I shake my head. "No! i cant trust you you ordered your men to attack me!" He sighs and looks at me. "I told them not to hurt you and they did, but you already took care of that didnt you?" I look at him still angry but i dont respond and he sighs again. "I'm sorry about your wing but if you come back with me i can better splint it in my la.......my hospital." His heart rate increased as he changed the word from lab to hospital. I look at him as he blatenly lied right if front of me. "No. I dont trust you anymore you arnt my father you are just a copy, fake, you are nothing like him!" He sighs again. "but i am your father and i still love you." I shake my head. "NO! NO YOU DONT!" I stand up and i throw him into a tree with my dragon strength and i take off running away from my father. I felt as though a hole in my heart was filled because i found my father but it had been torn out and ripped to shreds because i now know what he really is. I ran hearing yelling and shouting behind me. I just didnt care anymore i just wanted to get away from my father. I ran past the boundries of ohio and into west virgina. I kept running again for another time as the voices faded behind me. 

I finally slowed to a walk as i start to walk through the thick forests of west Virgina and i start to climb down a steep mountain. I take it slow my wing throbbing still and pain in my heart. I hear a noise behind me and spin around quickly. I slip and start to fall down the steep hill scraping and tearing my skin. I roll down the hill hitting my wing on my way down making it hurt even more than when i broke it. I rolled for what seemed like minutes......Then i slam my head on a large rock.....and i black out.

10:00 PM

I am cornored with a broken wing and arm, not able fly and barley able to fight, and i am surrounded by men all wanting to kill me. I didn't want to hurt anybody and i just want to live my life but they knew who i was they were watching and they waited for me to make a wrong move. I don't know how but they were and they have come for me.  It is the end for me I am stuck not able to go anywhere, but to my death, and to think this day started off so normal.

4:00 AM 

I wake up to the sound of dumptrucks everymorning now, ever sence my neighbors decided to tear down their old house and build a new one. I usually dont get any sleep because of it, but this morning was different. I woke up before the dumptrucks "started their alarm" and i didn't feel tired at all....in fact i felt.....great! I just wanted to get on with my day and get going. I just dont know what that feeling is but I like it. 

4:05 AM

Soon after i left my house to go on a morning hunt in the nearby woods and even my hunt went well. I cought two deer and took them back to my house so i could cut them up for the rest of the day. I also cooked some of the meat to take for lunch at school.

7:15 AM

Then I hid my Dragonic features, packed my lunch and left for school, which i still hate even on good days.Then just to make my day better I got a call. As I reopened the door- after almost closing it- I ran to get the phone. "Hello?" I answered "Hello is this Mr. Aigar" I quickly disguised my voice as i relized they were calling for my-dead- parents "Yes it is. Who is calling?" "Hi I'm Miss Sweets calling From Glendale school. I am calling to let you know that school is closed for the next week due to a large water main break." I did a little dance around the room. "Ok Miss Sweets I'll let my son know thank you. Bye." I hung up the phone and ran around my house screaming "NO SCHOOL!!!" this is a little childish but common you have to give me credit you would do it to.

9:45 AM

I walked to the outdoor mall at the center of town. I decided to do what i like to do at the mall food court hopping. I went to all of the good places, Chen's Chow, Bobby's big eats, Lynn's Luscious ice Cream, I just went everywhere but i finished off with my absolute favorite place to go in the food court Five Guys. I got their best burger and sat myself down in the courtyard to eat it. I was half-way through my burger when i noticed a man staring at me. I looked away quickly and went back to eating my burger but every now and then i would look up to see if he was there staring. I was almost finished with my burger when I looked up and saw he was gone. I felt a little better not having him stare at me while i ate but I still want to know why he was watching me and why he suddenly dissappeared.

1:00 PM

I left the food court feeling full and happy, and a little nervous. Two blocks of walking around the court broght me to my favorite place to get video games Best Buy. ((what is that, a dragon doesnt play video games? Well my friend this one does. Personally I think that video games are the only human invention i truely like other than food. Humans know how to make delicious unhealthy food.)) I go to look at the video games and the new consoles avaible. Then I noticed one of the employees staring at me. I quickly went into the next asile but he managed to find an open shelf to stock just in the asile i went to. I walked out of that store as fast as I could and started to walk down the street where i saw a woman across the street staring at me. I stopped walking and pretended to window browse at the store I was at- a hardware shop- and as I stood there I watched the womans reflection in the window. She kept looking at me while a black car pulled up to her along side the road. She stopped looking at me and bent down to talk to the man in the car, thats when i saw my chance. I bolted around the store to the back, down the nearby ally and hid around the cornor. I saw a broken mirrior on the opposite side of the ally and watched the woman and the car in the mirrior. She looked up from her conversation looking normal at first but then she did a quick scan of the side walk. Thats when her expression changed from relaxed to paniced. She screamed at the driver got in and sped down the street away from me. I waited a little longer and then took a deep breath. I walked out of the ally as slowly as i could trying to act natural. I did a quick scan of the road, and luckly there was no sign of the car or the woman. Then i just ran back to my house.

3:00 PM

After I got back to my house I releced my other features, locked all of the doors, closed all of the blinds, and sat down and turned on my TV. I watched the news for a little and then flipped to a movie that was on. When the movie finished it was about 4:52. I looked out of my window to see if there was anybody there but there was nobody was there but my neighbors car in his driveway. I decided it was okay and went back to my TV and turned on my Xbox

8:35 PM

I sat there and played for about a long time when I heard a knock on the door. I instantly ran over to my xbox and the TV and turned them off. I got quiet and hoped whoever it was would go away......but the knock came again.....and louder. All of my sences went on hight alert and I got my claws ready. Then I walked over to the door and looked out of the peephole. IT WAS HIM, the guy from the store. He knocked on my door again and yelled out "Sir you forgot your item you bought." silence then he yelled again louder "Sir you forgot your package." I relized that he wasn't going to go away so I said back "I don't want to buy anything thankyou." he replied "no sir I'm not trying to sell you something I just wnt to return your Item" I walked to the window and looked out and I saw the black car in my driveway. All of my sences were screaming danger DANGER. I knew I had to get away so I quickly and quietly made it to my back door. I opened the door and ran out. Thats when my day went bad. The large man from the mall landed on me and pined me to the ground. I tried to flap my wings but he had a death grip on them. He started to pull on one of them I knew he was trying to break it but I knew it was no use because dragon bones are harder than dimond. He pulled and pulled and it hurt and hurt but it was no use until the best buy guy came around the side yard. The man who held me pinned saw him, "Jimmy get over here and help me out"  he had a really thick english accent Jimmy responded "Now why would I help and Idiot. Dragon bones are stronger than dimond and cannot be broken by hand but on the other hand, they can be broken by another dragon bone." My heart sank, a dragon bone that means they had to have killed a dragon. Jimmy then pulled out the dragon bone in the shape of a baseball bat and he came over to me. I closed my eyes as I heard him say "before we bring him to the boss we need to ground him so he cant get away." Then I felt a crack and an extream pain in my wing. I heard Jimmy and the other man laugh, "Thats what a dragon bone breaking sounds like who knew." Then total instinct kicked in fuled by pain and anger. I lashed my tail up and grabed the man on top of me around the neck and he let go. Then I used all of my tail strength to throw him into Jimmy and they both fell to the ground. I got up and bolted across five different back yards and ran.

9:32 PM 

I ran for at least an hour before I thought I lost them and I hid in a few bushes. I looked at my broken wing and looked at the fracture and I knew it was bad. I sat in the bush for a while an waited for something. I then saw Jimmy and the man roll up in their car and get out. "Find him. The boss wants him alive but he said to kill him if we have to." They then nodded to each other and split and the car rolled away. I waited for the right moment and jumped on Jimmy knocking the bat out of his hand and pushing him to the ground. I landed one good blow to his head, broke his nose and knocked him out. I got up and ran into town. I passed a ally with a fire escape and a ladder and i got an idea. I started to climb the ladder and I got up to the roof and crouched down looking over the edge. The car screamed into town and dropped two different men with the man from the mall. They split up and ran around the town franticly searching for me. Then i was hit in the head with a bat. I looked up and saw the woman standing there with a metal bat getting ready to swing at me again. I then quickly lunged at her and knocked her out with my fist. I then relized this was a bad idea and I went to go jump over to the next building that was close to this one. I looked down and then got ready to jump. I stood on the edge and went to jump, but I was rammed in the back by another man. 

9:59 PM

I hit the ground with a thud and a large wave of pain. I got up and looked where I was and found myself in a blocked off ally. I started to run to the enterance but I was stopped when I saw three men with swords block my path. I stopped and ran back but found no way out.

10:00 PM 

I was trapped like a rat in a cage, no where to go but up but I cannot. The men closed in on me and one came up to me directly. He raised his sword........and I saw an opening. I rammed him with my shoulder like his buddy did to me and decided this was not going to end without blood so against my better judgement I slced open his neck Killing him. I picked up the sword and took a battle stance. The men laughed "HA! This little draggie still thinks he has a chance." I frowned at the mocking tone,while also noticed he to had a thick british accent. The other man then decided to add in "I dont care what the boss says your going to die" Then he charged at me. I knocked him to the ground with my tail and stabbed him with the sword killing him to. The next man looked at the dead body with a frown. I took this chance to scare him "Aw was he you friend? Thats just too bad isn't it." I shook my head "I guess he is just a dead corpse now." The man screamed and came at me. I swiftly doged him and sliced his side. He screamed and grabbed his side. I ran at him as he had his back turned and kicked him to the ground. Then I ended him. I ran to the allyway enterance and found a car there. I blew fire into the car and set it ablaze and I ran off through the town away from the town and away from death.

1:00 AM

I made my way to a forest away from most human life and I searched for a place to hide. I found a river and folowed it hopeing to find shelter. I walked a little ways until I found a small opening on the bank of the river. I went up to it and looked in. The enterance was small but the area inside was bigger so I could fit. I climbed into the small cave and made myself comfortable. I looked around the cave and found nothing other than some moss and a small lizard on the wall. I relaxed and closed my eyes hopeing to get some sleep, but one question still remained in the back of my mind. Who were those people?

School. Some people like some people don't. Frankly I don't care. After all I am WAY older tham most of the kids if you know what I mean. I like to sit in the class and just listen to all of the bull crap that the schools try to teach you. They seem to idolize all of these people in history and what they did but they don't know the truth. Most of them wern't all goody goody like they say. Some of them were jerks who wanted power all to themselves and guess who stepped in to change their views on it all, my mother. But before I tell you how let me catch you up to speed. After dragons started to be hunted and slain we went into hiding some going to caves to ride it out (they all were found any way) others like my mom turned to magic. She learned how to do a temporary transformation spell at first and then she learned how to do a long lasting one. Like all dragons she was very wise and knew the way of the humans.She blended in with them so well she was some how able to fix these jerks and straighten them out. Thats how she met my dad. He of course was just a human and a politician in the day (sometime in the 1800's around the beginning of the civil war). He was a lier and a cheater just like most politicians are (which hasn't changed in the past 10 thousand years or so). My mom straightened him out and they fell in love. My mother being a dragon and all left my father for a "buisness" trip and she went to the nearest mountain cave to have me. Of course when I was born I wasn't actually born more like hatched. But when I did I didn't really look like a baby dragon or a human more like a mixture of both. I looked like a normal baby but had a small tail and wings coming from my back and spine. I was there for the first 2 years of my life because my mother had to find a way to cloak my unhuman features. When she did she went back to my father, with me of course. We lived happily for ten more years before my mother told  my father she was a dragon. He didn't seem to mind for some strange reason (probably  for love). I of course at the time was twelve in human years which translates into about  0.12 years in a dragons years (I wasn't even 1 year old yet, technicly). but I was living like all boys in that age did which I don't really remember now. That's when my lifes hell started and ended in all of a matter of months. First everything was just fine until a battle broke out between some patriots and british. Our house was on the battle field and my mother was hit by a stray bullet. She grew weak and unable to keep her transformation going she reverted back to her true form. The battle ended and my mother was healing up just fine until the british soldiers needed a place to "stay". My father tried to persuade them to leave but because he quit his job as a politician and was now a farmer, he had no authority over anybody, and they forced their way in. They freaked when they saw my mother and started slashing and shooting at her on the spot. Me being as young as I was and her as helpless as she was, had no defences. She managed to kill a few of them and scare away the others but being shot and slashed in her vital state had wounded her too greatly and with all of the bullets and cuts the men had just put in her she slowly faded. Little did I know that It was a settup and the british knew about her all along from when she went into hiding. Why do you think the british were not willing to give up america. Their goal was to eliminate all dragons and they knew she was here and they found her. Not through my father but through his actions. Him suddenly finding the girl of his dreams she runs away on a trip and comes back with a child. Him quitting his job. Telling lies to hide his wife and then suddenly he just disappears away to a remote farm. The british used magic to trace my mom but when the trail ran cold and then suddenly sparked back up with suspition about my father. They had to come looking. The only thing I remember before my dad left the next morning was him saying "Son, I'm sorry I have to do this but I knew your mother was being hunted and I tried to hide her away to keep my love safe and I failed and I sorry. So now I am going to look for your mother's killers hunt them down and kill them. I need you to do one thing I need you to run get away from this house get away from me and run, run west ward and hide. They will come for you and if you are with me they will get you so you need to run away from me and live. Live to find your other brethern hiding in the mountains somewhere untouched by humans. You are on your own now and I must do this to avenge my wife. I will find you and if I don't... I will no longer be living so you must run." There was a distant gunshot in the distance and my father ran south with tears in his eyes and I went west.

I have been living on my own from then on. At first I was living like a animal, feeding on what I could find eating what I could eat. I lived like that for three years until in 1803 when Ohio was founded by the settlers did I ever go back to civilization. I moved all over Ohio and its neighboring states for many more years until I was finally able to settle down I a little town in Ohio.

It is now 2013 nothing has changed much sence that day other than technology and science advances humans have made over the years. Ya all pretty much the same. Just like school. Your human's idea for school is so bad. it should be that your parents teach you what has been passed down generation after generation just like dragons. I think school is just a lazy excuse for human adults so they dont have to teach their kids. Oh well I guess humans will do what they do after all I am part human, sometimes I forget.

God I hate school.
